Cristiano Ronaldo interrupts holiday to block Sergio Ramos transfer
Cristiano Ronaldo has cut his
holiday short in order to persuade
Sergio Ramos not to leave Real
Madrid according to reports.
The Spanish defender is said to be
seeking a move away from the
Bernabeu and has been heavily
linked with a switch to Manchester
United this summer.
Ramos has two years left on his
contract in Madrid and the latest
batch of reports suggesting that the
Red Devils have made a second
offer for his services worth €60
million after an initial bid worth
around £32 million was rejected.
Manchester United fans are likely to
be less than impressed that their
former player has been trying to
block the deal from happening.
According to Spanish newspaper AS
Ronaldo called Ramos during his
post-season break in Miami, urging
him not to head to Old Trafford.
The latest reports from Spain
suggest that Real Madrid are
growing increasingly concerned that
Ramos won't change his mind and
has a heart set on a switch to
Manchester United.
