Angel Di Maria and David de Gea are both fit to face Arsenal on Sunday, according to Manchester Unitedboss Louis van Gaal.

The Argentina international admitted concerns over his fitness after limping off against Portugal while the goalkeeper dislocated a finger on his right hand while with Spain.

Van Gaal added that he will continue monitoring his squad, with the likes of Michael Carrick, Luke Shaw, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans and Radamel Falcao all also hoping to return for the clash at the Emirates Stadium.

"Di Maria has trained today normally so I don't think that is a question mark, but Shaw is," he told reporters.

"De Gea is good, no problem. I think I have to wait for the reaction in training with Carrick, but I also expect he's ready to play.

"We have to wait for tomorrow's training session to decide if [some players] are back.

"My philosophy is that you have to train at least one week with the squad, better two. But if you see our circumstances, we maybe have to bring players back to the squad."

Blind, meanwhile, suffered a medial ligament tear during Netherlands' win over Latvia, with the Dutch FA originally forecasting a six-week absence and Van Gaal says he is still monitoring the 24-year-old.

"[Blind] is not ready, he has a brace on his knee," he added. "It’ll be 10 days' rest, then we'll have another scan and say more about his injury.

"It's not as bad as the doctors thought after the match, but it shall be a long story, I believe, but not six months or something like that."
